Mirchi Poppers
Cheese stuffed fried Jalapeno rings.

Ingredients:
- 10 Jalapeno Peppers/ Bhavnagri Mirchi
- 1 cup grated Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1 ½ cup flour
- ½ cup cornflour
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp ground black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- oil for frying
Method:
- Remove the head of the Jalapenos.
- Use a spoon to scrape out the pith and the seeds inside of the peppers.
- Cut the peppers into 1 inch rings.
- In a bowl, mix together the Mozzarella cheese and Cheddar cheese. Use a spoon to fill each pepper ring with the cream cheese blend.
- Prepare seasoned flour by mixing together 1 cup flour, salt, pepper, paprika, chili powder, and garlic powder to the flour.
- Place milk into a separate shallow bowl. Dip stuffed jalapeno into the seasoned flour, the milk, and then back into the seasoned flour.
- Place floured pepper on a baking tray. Let the peppers “dry” for about 10 minutes.
- Pour bread crumbs into a separate bowl.
- Mix together the flour, cornflour and seasoning in the remaining milk.
- Dip floured jalapeno pepper into the milk mixture and then into the bread crumbs.
- Refrigerate the jalapenos for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add the rested jalapenos to moderately hot oil. Fry till golden brown.
- Remove from oil and drain on an absorbent paper.
- Serve hot.
