Honey Chili Potatoes
Potato fries tossed in hot & sweet sauce
A favourite among kids are these fries tossed in tomato ketchup, chili sauce and topped with honey and sesame seeds. It’s hot and sweet taste is enhanced by the final drizzle of honey and the nuttiness comes in with the sesame seeds.

Ingredients:
- 400g frozen fries
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 2 tsp tomato ketchup
- Salt to taste
- 1½ tbsp oil
Ingredients for sauce:
- 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tsp red chili sauce
- 2 tsp vinegar
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1½ tbsp honey
- ½ tbsp oil
- 1 tsp chopped spring onion greens for garnish
- 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds for garnish
Method:
- Combine potato fries, cornflour, red chili powder, tomato sauce, garlic and salt and toss.
- Deep fry the potato fries to a golden brown.
- Heat a heavy bottomed vessel, add oil, and add the garlic and sauté on high flame for few seconds.
- Add the red chili sauce, tomato sauce and vinegar and combine.
- Add the fried potatoes and toss for a minute on medium-high flame.
- Add the honey and toss the contents till well combined. Turn off heat.
- Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds and garnish with spring onion greens or coriander leaves and combine.
